How I work

Updated 27 October 2026

In short

I write about artificial intelligence while using it. I ask companies that use it to be open about it, so I start with myself.

What I do

I choose what to write about and when. I decide where I stand on each subject, and the opinions you read are mine. Every piece goes out under my name and I answer for it.

What artificial intelligence does

  • Research and drafts. I use Claude, by Anthropic, to find sources, read long reports, write the drafts of the pieces and of the podcast scripts, and check the numbers again.
  • Voice. The podcast and the audio versions of the pieces are read in my voice, recreated by an open model (VoxCPM) from a recording of mine. I say so at the start of every episode. The music comes from Epidemic Sound, under licence.
  • Charts and English. The charts are drawn by a program from the data in the sources. The English version of the site is also made with the help of AI.

Sources and mistakes

Every figure has a note with its source at the end of the piece, so you can check it. AI makes mistakes, and so do I. If you find one, write to matteo@matteoferrando.com and I will correct it.
