How much does your AI weigh?
Every question to an AI assistant uses energy in a data centre. A single one weighs almost nothing, but multiplied by every day of the year it becomes visible. Move the sliders and see what your use weighs.

How it is calculated
The estimates use the same assumptions as AI Impact Meter, the Chrome extension born from the research for “AI: L'Impronta Fantasma”: about 4 characters per token, 1 Wh per thousand tokens, 0.6 Wh per image and 400 g of CO₂ per kWh of electricity. The large number is the central value; the range shows the lightest and the heaviest scenarios. These are estimates, not measurements: AI providers publish few figures, partial and unverifiable.
